How We Measure

How to wash and care for your Sly Life Apparel:

1. Turn the garment inside out when washing and drying, this acts as a shield.
By turning the garment inside out, the printed ink rubs against less material when tumbling in the washer or dryer. This simple step can really elongate the life of your clothes.

2. Use cold wash setting.
Cold is a screen-printed garments favourite temperature (prevents shrinkage and unsightly stretching). It would also be a good idea to separate darks and coloured garments from whites. If your washing machine has a gentle cycle, use it, your clothing will thank you.

3. Avoid bleach and strong detergents.
Play it safe and use a mild laundry detergent.

4. Do not tumble dry.
Go the old-fashioned route and hang it out to dry inside out for added protection. If you must dry your garments in the dryer, then do so on a low or no-heat setting. Then take the garment out of the dryer and hang them before they are completely dry to help prevent both shrinkage and wrinkles.

5. The best way to iron your printed garments is not at all.
Heat is an all-round enemy to your clothes. If you find your garment has some wrinkles after drying, and you absolutely must iron your garment (date night, family function etc) then make sure you play it safe. Best to turn garment inside out, avoid direct iron on print contact at all costs and use the lowest heat setting. Do not apply moisture or steam to the print or garment before putting the iron on it.

6. Hanging your garment is the best way to keep it looking fresh.

DO NOT:

  • Dry Clean
  • Use bleach/chlorine bleach
  • Use fabric softener
  • Use steam if ironing
